Mrs. Melissa Sue Prater Barrett, age 49, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at her home in Sparta, TN, surrounded by her loving family.
Melissa was born in Warren County on January 19, 1968 to Albert Prater and Jewell Eller Prater. She was preceded in death by her father Albert; brother Ray Hollingsworth; and very special aunt Evelyn Eller Green.
Survivors include her devoted husband Cecil Ray Barrett; Sons Justin and Chenae Simmons, Josh Simmons and Leann Davis; Grandson Zander Simmons; loving mother Jewell Prater; sister Brenda Hollingsworth; step-daughters Chasity Barrett and Brenda Latimore; three step-grandchildren Josh, Marinda, and Serenity; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS:
Funeral services will be held at Plainview Church of Christ on Monterey HWY, where she was a faithful member, on Tuesday, August 29 , 2017 at 5:00 p.m., Officiating will be Bro. Derek Cobble. Interment will be in the Old Plainview Cemetery.
Family will be accepting visitors from 12:00-5:00 PM Tuesday at Plainview Church of Christ.
