Willie Humphrey

Mrs. Willie Beatrice " Granny Bea" Humphrey, age 87, was born in White County on March 15, 1923 to Everette and Effie Wright. Granny Bea went home to be with Jesus on Monday, March 29, 2010, at Life Care in Sparta after an extended illness.
Mrs. Granny Bea was homemaker and mother to all. She is survived by three sons, Gwen, Allen and wife Lena, and Danny, all of Walling; one brother, Robert Wright of Walling, one sister, Opal Wood of Walling; five grandchildren, Wade Humphrey, Terri White and Jessica Williams, all of Walling; Christy Dowdy of Sparta; and Lola Hasting of Atlanta, GA. She also is survived by 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and many others who loved Granny Bea. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earnest Thurman " Speck " Humphrey, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home, interment in the Spring Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Frank Randolph and Bro. Garry McBride officiating. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Thurman Funeral Home at 6 p.m. til 9 p.m.
