William Cope
June 22, 1943 — November 23, 2016
William "Roy" Cope, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was a very hard worker. He loved fishing, working on old cars and Nascar. He will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him!
He was born in Sparta, Tennessee on June 22 1943 to Ermon and Essie Irene Shaw Cope.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Charles Douglas Cope.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Cope of Sparta; three daughters, Renee Cope Sloan of Sparta, Rita Kaye Cope Hale of Smithville and Christi Unterstein and husband Paul of Cookeville, six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother, James Glenn Cope and wife ; sisters, Ernestine Slatton, Bobbie Jean Davis, Nina Griffin, Ruth Anderson and Brenda Frasier; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS
Funeral services will be in the Thurman Funeral Home, Saturday November 26th, 2016 at 1:00 P.M.. Officiating will be Bro. John Pippin and Bro. Matthew Bouldin burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery in White County.
Family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home, Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. till time of service at 1:00 p.m.
