Vonda Jean Denton

Vonda Jean Denton, a cherished member of the Sparta community, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, age 95. Born on May 10, 1929, in Sparta, Tennessee, Vonda lived a full and vibrant life, marked by her unwavering kindness and generous spirit.

Vonda dedicated a significant portion of her career to the Doyle Shirt Factory, where her hard work and determination left a lasting impression on her colleagues. She was a longtime member of the Quebeck Church of Christ. Beyond her professional endeavors, she was deeply committed to her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. Vonda's warmth and welcoming nature made her a beloved presence in the lives of many, always ensuring that others felt at ease in her company. Her great sense of humor brought countless smiles to those around her, making her not only a confidante but also a source of joy for all who knew her.

Vonda was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Eda Denton, whose values of love and family she held close throughout her life. She is survived by numerous cousins, and Life Care friends who will fondly remember her legacy of love and laughter.

A visitation will be held on April 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Thurman Funeral Home located at 44 N Main St, Sparta, TN 38583. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Vonda Jean Denton, a truly special individual who touched the hearts of so many.
