Vica McCormick Pettit (Momma), age 94, of Old Hickory, TN, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011. She was born November 22, 1916 in White County, TN, to William Nelson and Sara Elizabeth Frasier McCormick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Wayne Pettit; son, Wayne Pettit; grandson, Jeffrey Pettit; brothers and sisters.
Survivors include son, Nelson Pettit (Nancy) of Knoxville, daughters, Linda Pettit of San Francisco, CA, Nancy Kosse (Gerald) of Old Hickory; grandchildren, Roger Pettit (Christi), Lee Smith and Lara Strohecker (Jeff); five great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 2pm-8pm at Thurman Funeral Home, Sparta, TN.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 13, 2011, 2pm at Thurman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Jericho Cemetery, Quebeck, TN.
