Thurman Bumbalough

Thurman Leroy Bumbalough, age 92, was born in Cumberland County, TN October 10, 1917 to Norman Issac Bumbalough and Nancy Josephine Holmes Bumbalough.
Mr. Bumbalough died April 26, 2010 at Life Care Center in Sparta.
Mr. Bumbalough was a life time member of our community. He enjoyed fishing and his family and friends. He worked as a roofer for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ellen Louise Stone Bumbalough; daughter, Judy Bumbalough; grandsons, Mark Jones and Bobby Glen Bumbalough; brothers, Claude Bumbalough and Floyd Bumbalough; and sister, Ruby Knight.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-laws, Roy and Claudettea Bumbalough of Sparta, Norman and Nellie Bumbalough of Sparta, Randy Bumbalough of Nashville, and Lynn and Donna Bumbalough of McMinnville; daughters, Sue Jones of Miamisburg, Ohio and Patty Jones of Sparta; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 29, 2010, at Thurman Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. Officiating will be Bro. Derek Coble. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Thurman Funeral Home from 6:00 pm til 9:00 pm.
