Mrs. Thelma Louise Yates Taylor, age 66, was born in Spencer, TN on April 4, 1943, to Edward and Maybelle McGuire Yates.
Mrs. Taylor passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010, at NHC of Sparta.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Clark's Chapel Church of God. Her grandparents, Jim and Lela Madewell, raised her after the death of her mother at childbirth.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas MacArther Taylor; Brother, Eddie Dean Yates and wife, Charlene; niece, Charlotte Crain and husband, Anthony Crain; and their children, Jacob Crain and Kaytlin Crain; nephew, Wayne Yates; and niece, Beverly Neely, all of Spencer.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Clark's Chapel Church of God in Spencer, TN with interment in the Old Sodom Cemetery in Van Buren County. Bro. Jeff Smith and Bro. Danny Rogers will officate. Family will receive friends at the Clark's Chapel Church of God on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, from 4 p.m. til 8 p.m.
