Thelma Gambrell

Thelma Jean Gambrell, 88, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

She was born March 31, 1932, in Sparta, Tennessee, to the late Bethel and Mary (Elrod) Bussell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Bussell; and sister, Madelyn Bennett.

She is survived by her husband, William Gambrell; children, Janice Myers, Richard Gambrell, Roger Gambrell, Karen Eldridge (Robert), Jenny Adkins (Dave), and Barry Gambrell (Lisa); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, sister, Ruth Baker; and brother, Jack Bussell.

Thelma Jean loved music, singing and playing. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and made many items we can look at every day. She will be truly missed.

ARRANGMENTS:

Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Thurman Funeral Home.

Funeral services for friends and family will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, at 1:00PM at Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta.
