Mr. Samuel Porter Swindell, age 94 passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014, at NHC of Sparta.
Mr. Swindell was born September 28, 1920 in Doyle, TN to Thomas Harley Swindell and Cora Alice Holton Swindell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna Lee Clark Swindell; grandson, Scott Allen Swindell; sister, Reba Graham and brother, Harley Gaines Swindell.
Survivors include daughter, Joyce Mason of Doyle, son, Samuel (Wayne) Swindell of Burgess Falls; grandchildren, Ricky Swindell and wife Tammy and Deirdre (Dee) Lawson and husband Mack; great grandchildren, Shannon Hammons and husband Gerromy, Kyle Chaffin and wife Ciera, Cody Porter and Kirkland Porter; great great grandchildren, Kortlynd and Keaton Chaffin and Sophia Hammons; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS
Funeral services will be held at Thurman Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 30 at 3:00 P.M. Officiating will be Bro. Bill Lowery. Interment will follow in the Doyle Cemetery.
Pallbearers, Ricky Swindell, Mack Lawson, Gerromy Hammons, Kyle Chaffin, Cody Porter and Kirkland Porter.
Family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 30 at 11:00 A.M till time of service.
