Robert "Bobby" Horton
January 21, 1945 — October 3, 2017
Robert “Bobby” L. Horton, age 72, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Cookeville Regional Hospital in Cookeville.
He was born on January 21, 1945 in Sparta, Tennessee to James I. Horton and Mary Lou Savage Horton.
Bobby was a hard worker and helped many throughout his life. He served his country by serving in the Army National Guard. He retired from Mallory, he loved farming and music.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Daniel Horton; sister and brother in law, Louise Horton Seamons and Billy Seamons.
He is survived by his son, Rick Dildine and wife Dana; daughters, LaDonna Horton, Hana Nash and husband Jonathan Nash; brother, William “Bill” Horton and wife, Diane Horton, and John Horton and wife, Susie Horton; sister, Betty Horton Slatton and husband Lonnie Slatton; sister in law, Elsie Horton; 6 grandchildren, Ben Dildine and wife Kaci, Chelsea Dildine, Erick Dildine, Staci Dildine, Danielle Dildine and Gabriella Nash ; 3 great grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS:
Funeral services will be held at Thurman Funeral Home Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Dan Horton. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Family will be accepting visitors from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Thurman Funeral Home.
