Reed Demps, age 86, passed away at his home in the Cherry Creek Community Friday afternoon, February 11, 2011 preceded in death by his wife, Avis Ruth Geer Demps; parents, Dewitt ( Doc) Demps and Millie Ann Whiteaker Demps; six sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include 4 children, Steve and Velma Demps of Cookeville, Pamela Cunningham, Stanton (Zero) Demps and Chiquita Patat all of Sparta; sisters, Ruth Bain of IN and Marie Clark of VA; sister in laws, Martha Lee, Lucille Demps and Patty and Carl England all of Sparta 10 grandchildren, Canella Cole, Johnnie Cunningham, Terry Cunningham, Jesse Cunningham, Heather Demps, Sean Demps, Casey Patat, Stephanie Patat, Cody Patat and Summer Rhoden; 10 great grandchildren, Wesley Dickson, Brady Cunningham, Briley Cunningham, Bailey Cunningham, Alexandria Cunningham, McKinley Cunningham, Ava Cunningham, Landon Cunningham, Tristan Patat and Lydia Perry.
Family will receive friends Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 5pm-8pm at Thurman Funeral Home, Sparta, TN.
