Ona Savage

Mrs. Ona Mae Simmons Savage, age 98, of the Ole Bethel Community passed away August 5, 2011 at 3:57 A.M. with her family.
Mrs. Savage was born May 29, 1913 in White County to Eligah and Maggie Lou Simmons of Quebeck.
She was a homemaker, a very talented seamstress, and a loving inspiration to her family and friends. She loved nothing better than visiting friends and family in the neighborhood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Refery Lige Savage; son-in-law William Lee (Bill) Tolbert; sisters Milly Pettit and Hazel Fisher, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Firm Clinton and Bertha Raper Savage. Survivors include daughter Marlene Savage Tolbert, granddaughter, Nancy Lee Tolbert Hambrick, and husband Benny, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Monday, August 8, 2011, at Thurman Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 P. M. Officiating will be Bro. Billy Lowery. Burial will follow in the Skurlock Cemetery.
