Nola Cole

Mrs. Nola Pearl Cole, age 93, passed away December 11, 2009 at NHC in Sparta. She was surrounded by her family. Mrs. Cole was born February 7, 1916 in Habersham County, Georgia to John and Mattie Clark.

She was a loving mother, a wonderful cook, gardener and housekeeper. Mrs. Cole was a member of the Athens Church of Christ.

Survivor include one son; Gary Waymon and daughter in law Marsha; five daughters, Peggy Johnson of Sparta; Virginia Cantrell of Sparta; Mary Parman and son in law Jim of Texas; Evelyn Cole of Sparta; Pamela Cole and son in law Bobby of Sparta; two brothers, Elmo Clark and Eugene Clark both of Georgia. Also include fourteen grandchildren, twenty nine great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Waymon O. Cole, three sons; dale E. Cole, Johnny Norris Cole and William Morris Cole, one grandson Michael Johnson and one great grandson Jeremiah Geiger; two sisters, Christine Clark and Mattie Garrison; three brothers, Walter, Collis and Vermon Clark.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 14, 2009, at Athens Church of Christ in Sparta,TN at 1p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Bobby Wilhite. Interment will follow in the Elrod Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Thurman Funeral Home from 5 pm till 8 pm. Also she will be at the Athens Church of Christ for viewing at 12 pm till service time.
