Mrs. Mary Christine Worthington Gribble, age 89, of Sparta, TN, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Christine was born in Sparta, TN on July 10, 1927 to Charlie Worthington and Georgia Burden Worthington. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Clennon Gribble Sr. son, Richard Clennon Gribble Jr., sisters, Elizabeth Cullom, Beulah Burgess, and Laura Carrick; brother Charles Worthington Jr.
Survivors include children, Donna Sue Carr (Billy Phillips Jr.), Carolyn Ruth (David) Culley; grandchildren, Alicia Hayes (Jamie), David Demond Culley, and Jessie Christine Culley; great grandchildren, Kita Christine League and Dwayne Kelley. Special baby whom she loved dearly Alyric Gribble; three devoted nieces, Wilma Gwynn, Laura Roberts and Linda Irby; two devoted nephews, Jerry Worthington and David Carrick.
ARRANGEMETS:
Funeral services will be held at Sparta First United Methodist Church, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., officiating will be Rev. Shirley Renee Franklin. Interment will be in the Lee Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. till time of service at 1:00 p.m.
