Mary Elizabeth Monroe Buttrey , age 89, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 .
She was born in Celina, Tennessee on September 22, 1927 to Edward Luther Monroe and Willette Beatrice Goodpasture Monroe.
She was preceded in death by parents. Husband of 61 yrs of marriage, Leechy Cleveland "L. C." Buttrey, Jr., and brother, John Robert Monroe.
She is survived by Two sons and daughters-in-law: James and Neva Buttrey and Robert Lynn and Debbie Buttrey all of Murfreesboro. One daughter and son-in-law: Linda and David Templeton of Sparta. grandchildren: Sherry Buttrey of Nashville, Jonathon Buttrey of Murfreesboro, Emily & Chester Di Bari of Washington, D.C., Leslie & Tanisha Templeton Jr., Regina and Wesley Martin and Sherry Beth Templeton all of Sparta, great grandchildren, Chester & Ford Di Bari of Washington, D.C., Harper Buttrey of Nashville, Aspen Templeton and Adriana Templeton both of Sparta, sister: Billie & Mike Schmitt of Murfreesboro. Many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS
Graveside services will be in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Murfreesboro, TN. , Wednesday October 5, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.. Officiating will be Bro. Boyd Nash and Bro. Todd Buttrey.
Pall Bearers, Robbie Monroe, Kendall Mallard, Troy Buttrey, Leslie Templeton, Wesely Martin and Jonathan Buttrey.
Family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m..
