Lydia Newman

Lydia Marie Newman, passed away on August 28, 2022, at the age of 87 in Sparta, TN.

She was born in Sparta, TN on December 17, 1934, to the late Uvalda and Illa Sparks.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leslie Clyde Newman; brothers, William Sparks, Charles Sparks Jr, Lester Sparks; sister, Shirley Ruth Sparks.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Paul) Lenderman, Kay Newman; grandchildren, Timothy Johnson, Katoshia Johnson, Abby Lenderman; great grandchild, Leslie Johnson; three brothers; two sisters; many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements:

The family will accept visitors on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the chapel of Thurman Funeral Home.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday September 1, 2022, at O’Connor Church Of Christ. Interment will be at O’Connor Cemetery. Officiating will be Rob Sparks.
