Luke Ralph Trovarelli, age 90, passed away on Saturday May 8, 2021 at Saint Thomas Rutherford, Murfreesboro, TN.
Luke was born August 14th 1930 in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as one of 11 children and moved to Sparta, Tennessee with loving wife Shirley in 1974.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Sheila (Houston) Hill of Fort Worth Texas, Joy (Rod) VanDertuin of Fort Worth Texas, and Cindy (Robert) Wek of Laguna Niguel California. He was also loved by his 4 step daughters and 50 grandchildren and great grandchildren in total.
Luke travelled across the country with his uncle starting from the young age of 8 participating in a singing ministry, where he fell in love with music. He took great pride in being a founder, choir director, and lifelong member of the First Community Church in Sparta. He also owned and continued to run Luke’s Vacuum Shop for the last 40 years and was a past president of Sparta-White County Chamber of Commerce. Luke and Shirley loved life on the farm together where they raised red angus cows and other farm animals. Today Trove’s Cove Ranch still has a few beefalos and 15 acres of property. Luke’s passions have always been God, family, friends, music, and of course his Italian meals. He has been blessed by incredible and irreplicable friends in Sparta over the past 47 years that he was always so grateful for. Luke always said that he was blessed with many friends, and his number one friend was the Holy Spirit. He will be greatly missed.
