Lovetta Whipple

Lovetta Irene Whipple, age 84 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on December 2, 2022.

She was born in Manchester, Iowa on October 23, 1938.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tona and Ethel Power; husband of 53 years, Robert H. Whipple; and sisters, Paula Hying and Elenore Simmons.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry (Joann) Power; children, Kerry Whipple, Vicki (Mike) Dupler, Cindi (Russ) Burch, Penny (Kenneth) Russell, Timothy (Jason) Gendreau, Della (Bob) Bean; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kelly) Selby, Tony (Emily) Kibbey, William (Katie) Abbott, Katie (Ryan) Parchem, Robert (Hanna) Burch, Paige (Matt) Madsen, Lori Shutt, Lacie Russell, Nico Wells, Toby Wells, Sam Wells; great-grandchildren, Carlee Selby, Chloe Abbott, Teigen Kibbey, Paisyn Kibbey, Kyson Burch, Kase Burch, Anniston Conover, and Paislee Madsen.

She will be remembered for her services at Mason High School in Mason, Michigan and White County High School cafeterias. Children often referred to her as the fry lady in the lunch line.

She was a member of Bear Cove Baptist Church in Sparta, Tennessee.

Memorial services will be held on June 10, 2023 at 1:00 pm with a celebration life for her and her beloved husband thereafter at Old Bon Air Cemetery. Bro. David Copeland will be officiating.
