Mrs. Lou Hazel Smith, age 85 was born November 22, 1923 to Everett Jones Smith and Josephine Burgess Smith in White County, Tennessee.
She passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at her residence Crossville, TN with loving family there.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Thomas Smith, Daughter Barbara Smith Kilgore, Son William Thomas "Bussie" Smith, three infant children, brothers Henry and Thurman Smith.
Her survivors includes children Joann Goebel and husband Paul of FL., Edwina Page and husband the late Jim Page, Jerl Smith, Bruce "Pat" Smith and wife Ella all of Sparta and Marietta Pappas and husband Robert of Crossville, sister Mary Alice Lawson of Sparta, grandchildren David Paul Goebel, Michelle Anderson, Kelly Smith, Kristie Shipe and Chandra Fine, great grandchildren, Hayden Lanham, Sarah Lanham, Kristen Goebel, Justin Shipe, Brittney Anderson, Katie Anderson, Kyle Shipe, James David Schubert, Chris Schubert and Beth Schubert.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 6, 2009, at Thurman Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Jack Chadwell. Interment will be in the Eastland Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Thurman Funeral Home from 6 pm till 9 pm.
