Leonard Lewis Simmons

Leonard Lewis Simmons, age 92 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away March 29, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones at home in Sparta, Tennessee.

He was born February 3, 1933 in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Powell Louis and Della Mae Baker Simmons.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; sons, Allen Simmons, Steve Simmons; granddaughter, Vanessa Edmonds.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Geneva Simmons; son, Richard Simmons; grandchildren, Allen “Shane” Simmons Jr., April Simmons, Lindsey Drew Dunham, Scarlett Dickson, Latoya Simmons, Shana Simmons; he is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arrangements:

The viewing will be at Thurman Funeral Home, Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.

Funeral service will be at Thurman Funeral Home, Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. Officiating will be Bro. Dewey Young and Bro. Harlan Simmons. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
