Laura Talley

Laura Mae Reeves Talley, age 100 of Sparta, TN, passed away August 31, 2012 at NHC of Sparta. She was born September 11, 1911, in White County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Hoyt Spain and Mary Rebecca Windham Spain. She was a member of Central Church of Christ for many years. A loving wife, mother and granny. Also in her life adventures she was a beautician and nurse for many years.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Charlie Reeves; 5 sisters, Fanny Reeves, Ida Rollins, Winnie Davis, Isabelle Davis, Ruby Spain; one brother, Thomas Spain. Son, Charles Vernon Reeves, son in law, Curtis White, Grandson , Donald White, great granddaughter, Brandi Reeves. She is survived by daughter, Mary White; daughter in law, Dorothy Reeves; grandchildren, Dan White and wife Mae, Judy White, Roger Reeves and wife Debbie, Laura Selby and husband Pat and James Reeves; great grandchildren, Kristie White, Angie Palmer and husband Jim, Heather Barr and husband Shawn, Jason White and wife Amanda, Nathan White, Alicia Selby, Tia Lewis and husband Christopher and Christopher Reeves; six great great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements:

Family will receive friends at the Thurman Funeral Home, Saturday, September 1 , 2012 at 11:00 am till time of service.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., at Thurman Funeral Home, officiating Bro. Don Burns and Bro. Jack Chadwell. Honorary Pallbearers, James Reeves and Nathan White; Pallbearers, Roger Reeves, Dan White, Jason White, Pat Selby and Shawn Barr.

Burial will follow in the Eastland Cemetery.
