Miss Kimberly Darlene Knowles, age 42, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010 at White County Community Hospital in Sparta,TN. Miss Knowles was born December 23, 1967 in White County, Tennessee.

Kim was a graduate of Tennessee Tech with a masters in Psychology. During college she was the manager of Ginger's Hallmark in Cookeville. Also Kim was an avid Organic Gardener, and loved planting and letting people sample her bounty. She was a wildlife enthusiast and loved her animals. In her life she was a wonderful, kind and loving person, always having words of kindness. Kim loved most music and books and she was always researching heirloom gardening and places to buy seed. Everyone who knew Kim loved her and she'll be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her especially her mother.

Survivors include her mother, Wanda Qualls and husband, Thomas of Sparta; aunts and uncles, Joyce Jernigan of Dayton, TN; Linda and Ralph Dodson of Rock Island, TN; Donna and J. C. Gillentine of Quebeck, TN; Paula Templeton of Quebeck,, TN; Melissa and Richard Griffin of Rock Island, TN; and Connie Carter of Sparta, and also numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, David Cloyce Knowles; grandparents, Carl and Thelma Knowles and Joe Lee and Willie Grace Carter.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 at Thurman Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be her cousin, Jason Gillentine. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday, February 1, 2010 at Thurman Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until time of service.
