Katherine Cooley Jenkins, age 94 of Sparta, TN, passed away August 30, 2012 at her home. She was born October 19, 1917, in White County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Monroe Cooley and Cora Mai Stults. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, George Fred Jenkins; brother, Beecher Cooley. She is survived by daughter and son in law, Margaret and Keith Slatten of Sparta; two grandchildren, Jamie and Josh Kirby and AnnMarie Wilhite and fiancAC., Ron Murphy all of Sparta; five great grandchildren, Wade Judd, Cayden Kirby, Kyanna Kirby, Connor Murphy and Ayla Murphy; sisters, Mary Ruth Alley, Daphene and Horace Richardson, Geraldine and John Hickey; brothers, Floyd Cooley, Hollis Cooley and John and Doris Cooley; Sister in law; Katherine Cooley; Several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements:
Family will receive friends at the Thurman Funeral Home, Sunday, September 2 , 2012 at 11:00 am till time of service.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., at Thurman Funeral Home, officiating Bro. James Rittenberry and Bro. James Bolin.
Burial will follow in the Rose Cemetery.
