Joyce Raper

Joyce Irene England Raper, 83, went home to the Lord on October 28, 2015. Mrs. Raper was born December 1, 1931.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William D (Trapp) England and Verna Seals England; her sister, Shirley Ward; and an infant brother.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin Raper; sister Joann (JD) Vaughn; brother-in-law, Tom Ward; son William (Janice) Raper; Shantaye Cannon; her grand children, Kalarene (Will) Svensson , Kailoni (Clifton) Lawson, John (LaTia) Raper, Douglas Raper, Kayla (Brady) Wright, Jake Bowman; her great grandchildren Journee and Fait Svensson, Hayden Stewart, Colton Lawson, and Brian Wright; and her many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
She worked for the White County Board of Education as a teacher's aide at BonDeCroft Elementary School for many years. She loved reading, visiting with family and friends, and was a long time member of Bon Air Methodist church.
ARRANGEMENTS
Funeral services will be 10a.m. November 2, 2015, at Thurman Funeral Home, with burial in Skurlock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:30-8:00 p.m., November 1, 2015, at the funeral home.
