Mrs. John Ann Simmons., age 88 of Sparta, passed away August 7, 2013 at Life Care in Sparta, Tennessee.
She was born February 11, 1925 in McMinnville, Tennessee. Her parents were Delter Melton and Eliza Blair Melton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, George H, Simmons, Sr. as well as one sister and five brothers.
She is survived by her son , George H. Simmons, Jr. and wife Sharon of Signal Mtn., TN., daughters Kathaleen Replogle and husband Jim of Carthage, TN., and Barbara Sorrell and husband Jim of Sparta, TN. She is also survived by grandchildren, Andrew Simmons, Kelly Beck and husband Andy, Jay Replogle and wife Erin, and Hank Replogle, also great grandchildren, Piper Beck and Griffin Beck.
ARRANGEMENTS
Funeral service will be at Central Church of Christ, in Sparta, TN. Friday, August 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Central Time. Officiating will be Bro. Greg Nance. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Central Time in Mt View Cemetery, in McMinnville, TN.
Family will receive friends at Central Church of Christ, in Sparta, TN., Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., Central Time.
