Mr. Joe Thomas Haston, age 84, passed away September 16, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Haston spent many years at Kirby's Auto Parts, Dixie Auto Parts, and also Fall Creek Falls State Park.
Mr. Haston was born March 7, 1927 in Van Buren County, Tennessee to Philip Moore Haston and Beulah Humphrey Haston. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, P.H. Haston. Survivors include loving wife of 50 years, Margie Snodgrass Haston of Doyle; sons and daughter in law, Thomas Haston of Doyle and Tim Johnson and wife Amy of Sparta; grandchildren, Jessica L., Jennifer L., and Joel L.; great grandchildren, Caden, Chloe and Carter; nieces, Cindy Tsukada; Lisa Steele and Juanita Roof; nephew, Joseph Sapp; sister in law, Pat Snodgrass. Family will receive friends Monday, September 19, 2011 at Thurman Funeral Home from 6:oo P.M till 8:oo P.M. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. at Thurman Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Scott and Bro. Buck Martin. Burial will follow in Town Cemetery, Spencer, TN.
