Jimmy S. Dodson, age 84, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at home.
He served his country in the United States Airforce. He will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him!
He was born in Sparta, Tennessee on May 29, 1932 to Plummer S. and Zella Lee Dodson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Pamela Dodson Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dola Bennett Dodson; Son Edward S. Dodson of Cookeville; daughter Paula Henry and son-in-law, Patrick Henry; grandchildren, Emily Henry and Lydia Henry Turney. Surviving siblings are Helen Dodson Bennett, Doris Dodson, and Bill Dodson with sister-in-law Mary Linda Dodson. The family wants to thank Suncrest Home Health, Dr. Webb, Toby Peterman, nephew, Bobby Bennett for their wonderful work and support during this time.
ARRANGEMENTS
Funeral services will be in the Thurman Funeral Home, Tuesday December 13, 2016 at 1:00 P.M.. Officiating will be Bro. David Bratcher burial will follow in the Old New Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers, Tom Whitworth, Jimmy Adams, Toby Peterman, Michael Bennett, Bobby Bennett, Patrick Henry, Damion Johnson, Jeremy Bennett.
Family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11am. till times service at 1 p.m.
