Jewell O. Burchett ,age 85, of Sparta, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Life Care of Sparta. She was born February 2, 1927 in White County to Lee Palmer and Tina Johnson Palmer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 60 years Delbert Burchett. Brother, Monroe Palmer.
Survivors include her daughter, Orillia Glyne Martinez and two sons, Edward Burchett and Ronnie Burchett; 9 grandchildren, Mark Flynn, Rhonda Parker, Greg Burchett, Shea Burchett, Desiray Mooneyham, Nicki Burchett Fritz, MSG Matthew G. Martinez, Kimberly Burchett Martin, Geoffrey Burchett and 14 great grandchildren; three sisters, Ora Lee Taylor, Ellen Burchett and Joann Taylor; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thurman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. Don Burns. Interment will follow in the Lost Creek cemetery.
