Jerry Roger Poore

Jerry Roger Poore, Age 83 passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024. At his home surrounded by his loving family in Sparta, TN.

 He was born in Sparta, TN on May 31, 1941 to the late Arthur and Beulah Poore. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Beulah Poore; wife of 49 years, Mattie Louise Poore; brothers, Elijah Poore, LaVaughn Poore, Henry Poore, Jesse Poore; sister Myrtle Belle Poore 

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Poore; daughters, Jeri (Paul) Burks, Levona (Lanny) Davis; grandchildren, Christopher Woodcock, Caitlin (Trevin Wright) Burks, Samantha Burks; great grandchildren, Jerimiah Kenney, Jameson Kenney. Also survived by a host of family and friends. 

Arrangements:

Visitation will be Thursday December 19, 2024 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. at Thurman Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Thursday December 19, 2024 starting at 2:00 pm at Thurman Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. Greg Jenkins and Bro. Robbin Phillips. Interment will be at New Hope Cemetery.
