Mr. " Jim " James C. Miller, age 92 passed September 15, 2010, at his residence in Sparta, TN.
Mr. Miller was born to Joseph William Miller and Ada Sparkman Miller on September 29, 1917 in Van Buren County, Tennessee.
He is survived by his daughters: Neva Hutson and husband Jim of Sparta, and Nancy Moss and husband Richard also of Sparta. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Kourtney Moss, Kaitlin Moss, Paige Hutson, and Dallas Hutson all of Sparta as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Ethelene Wilson Miller; brothers, Arlis Miller, Arlen Miller, and William Miller; sisters, Ollie Wallace, Lennie Brock, and Elma Lee Mills, as well a niece, Geneva Thompson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 18, 2010, at 1:00 P. M. at Thurman Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Old Union Cemetery. The family received friends at Thurman Funeral Home on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 6:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M. Thurman Funeral Home of Sparta, TN is in charge of the arrangements.
