Horace {Mac} Carl McDole, 85, passed away Wednesday September 16, 2015 at St. Thomas Highland Hospital in Sparta.
Born April 24, 1930 in White County, TN to Willie McDole and Zettie Ann Young McDole Horton.
He retired from the United States Navy and also retired from the United States Army Corp of Engineering.
Mac was preceded in death by his parents, brother Willie Ray McDole and son, Brendon Shane McDole.
Mr. McDole is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jane McDole; children, Horace McDole, Jr. and wife, Patsy, Belinda Deal and husband, Tom, and Sheree Wood and husband, William; brother, Clay McDole; grandchildren, Rachael Opperman, Becky Shaul, Elizabeth Conrad, Shawn Deal, Joseph Deal, Winston Wood, Forrest Wood and Karaline Wood; 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Thurman Funeral Home, 44 N. Main Street, Sparta, TN, on Saturday, September 19th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Funeral service will be held at Thurman Funeral Home on Saturday, September 19th at 1:00 p.m. Internment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers, Winston Wood, Forrest Wood, Karaline Wood, Shawn Deal, Joey Deal, Matt Opperman, Phuwanai Shaul and Tim Conrad.
