Gena Griffin

Mrs. Gena Marie Griffin, age 82, passed away June 4, 2014 at her daughter's residence.
She was born in Sparta, Tennessee on December 25, 1931 to Luther and Lennie Bumbalough Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, children, Steven Griffin and Helen Griffin, and one great grandson Benjamin Rice.
She is survived by her husband, S. T. Griffin, of Sparta; children, Ilene Guy and husband Eddie of Doyle, Janet Newberry and husband William of Sparta, and Tony Griffin of Sparta; and one sister, Christine Pritchard of South Carolina. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kimberly Rice, Dana Rice, Felicia Johnson, Jammie Roberts, Stephanie Zettlemoyer, Lindsay Griffin, Jessica Griffin; great-grandchildren, Donald Hammond, Derrick Hammond, Zachery Stevens, Sean Dick, Stephen Dick, Peyton Roberts, Jaelyn Roberts, Rylee Zettlemoyer, Jayden Johnson, Braelynn Griffin, and Kinley Griffin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Stoney Roberts, Robert Mitchell, Mike Pritchard, Donald Hammond, Derrick Hammond, and Jeffery Zettlemoyer.
ARRANGEMENTS:
The family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home, Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be at Thurman Funeral Home Sunday, June 8, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., Bro. Tommy Davis will officiate. Interment will be at the Old Zion Cemetery.
