Frances Whiteaker

Mrs. Frances Pearl Copeland Whiteaker passed away on October 20, 2010 at N.H.C. of Sparta, Tennessee.

Mrs. Whiteaker was born to Henry Alex Copeland and Verdie Eller Copeland on September 10, 1924 in White County, Tennessee. She was a retired homemaker, quilted for the public and was a member of the Yankeetown Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Barry Lee Whiteaker and wife, Sherry of Walling; Jimmy Whiteaker of Sparta; Ronnie Joe Whiteaker of Sparta; and Michael David Whiteaker and wife, Judy of Cookeville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Leslee Bumbalough and husband, James of Walling; Nathan Whiteaker of Walling; Alexis Moore of Sparta; and Chelsea Moore of Sparta, as well as great-grandchildren, Jake Bumbalough of Walling; and Jordyn Whiteaker, also of Walling.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Lee Whiteaker; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Whiteaker; two sons, Bobby and Richard Lewis Whiteaker; and a brother, James Douglas Copeland.

The family will receive friends at Thurman Funeral Home on Thursday, October 21,2010,from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be October 22, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. Freddie Copeland and Bro. Jonathan Barnes. Burial in the Lower Cherry Creek Cemetery.
