Ernest (Tooter) Martin Gist

Ernest (Tooter) Martin Gist, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the age of 70.     

He was born on March 8, 1954 in Sparta, TN to the late Ernest York and Josephine Gist.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lois Gist; grandparents, Willie (Son) Martin and Annie Gist; brother, John (Joe) Davis Gist.

He is survived by his son, Robert Gist; daughter-in-law, Tonya Gist; grandchildren, Charlie Jackson, Trey Brewington, Robert Jackson, Marcus Evans, Kayla Nash; also, a host of family. 

ARRANGEMENTS:

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. officiating will be Bro. Gary Gardenhire Jr. Interment will be at Doyle Cemetery.
