Mrs. Lucille Goines, age 86 was born October 14, 1922 to Dewey and Sarah Flatt Poston in Algood, Tennessee.
Mrs. Goines passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the Life Care Center in Sparta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 44 years, Arnell Goines, 2 brothers, Tom and Fred Poston, sister, Shirley Simpson and nieces, Glenda Johnson, Donna Gale Kirby and Jeannie Ruth Eecker.
She is survived by her four sisters, Dimple Adcock, Christine Kirby, Sue Graham and Lois Kirby all of Sparta, two brothers, Billy and Carl ( Shirley) Poston all of Sparta, two brother in laws, Junior Goines and Joe Graham, two sister in laws, Helen Poston and Mary Etta Goines. Also several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Jack Farley . Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Monday, August 31, 2009 at Thurman Funeral Home from 4pm till 8 pm.
