Doris Wilson

Doris Laree Nash Wilson, age 76, went home to be with her Lord on August 29, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Doris was born March 5, 1945, to the late Robert Conson Nash and Rubye Eva Nash. She attended White County High School and later completed a cosmetology certification in Sparta. When her health permitted, she loved to paint and once had her paintings on display and featured in the local newspaper.

She loved to laugh and play practical jokes. She was a member of and attended Pistole Baptist Church in Sparta all her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Jason Wilson.

Doris is survived by her son Greg Bray and wife Sharon of Spencer, and her grandchildren Brandon, Danielle and Breanna Bray. She is also survived by her sister Jean (Bobby) Bell, and Beverley Nash, all of Cookeville.

ARRANGEMENTS:

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 4, at 4 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home. Interment will be afterwards at Saylors Cemetery in Sparta, Tennessee. The family requests that guests wear masks and be mindful of social distancing for the health of everyone
