Donald Wayne Spivey

Donald Wayne Spivey, age 79 of Sparta, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones at Grandview Nursing Home in Cookeville, Tennessee.

He was born July 8, 1945 in Sparta. Tennessee to Donald H. and Ora C. Spivey.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Spivey, brother-in-law, Robert Puckett; niece, Lisa Cassey.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Cindy Spivey; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Joyce Spivey; sister and brother-in-law, Freda and Jimmy Moss; Sister and brother-in-law, Correne and Don Fougere; sister, Wilma Sparks; nieces, Derona Ray and Billy Ray, and Kim Randolph and Jay Randolph; nephew, Stevie Moss.

Arrangements:

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta, TN from 12:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m.

The service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Thurman Funeral Home in Sparta, TN and officiating will be Bro. Howard Gorter. Interment will follow in the Plainview Cemetery.
