Betty Rae Roberts, age 85, of the Golden Mountain Community passed away Friday, November 8th, 2013 at Life Care of Sparta.
Mrs. Roberts was born January 12th, 1928, the daughter of Delmar Osmon Knight and Florence M. Madder Knight of South Williamsport, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Elinor June Knight Stetts, and twin brother, William Delmar Knight.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert D." Sarge" Roberts; children, Robert Steven Roberts & wife Rethia, Dennis Lynn Roberts & wife Deborah, Sally Ann Shockley & husband Thomas Wayne Shockley, Wendy Marie Wagner & husband Gene Wagner, and David Lee Roberts & wife Patsy; 11 grandchildren, Heather Roberts, Jeffery Roberts & wife Alicia , Jacob Roberts & wife Fallon, Caleb Roberts, Haley Roberts, Jonathan Roberts & wife Nikki, Laura Sue Dyer & husband Jared, Daniel Shockley & wife Bobbie, Sarah Reece, Becky Sue Shockley, and Josh Roberts; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews from Tennessee, Colorado, California, Alaska, and Pennsylvania.
ARRANGEMETS
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. till time of service at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 11th, 2013 at East Sparta Church of God.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 11th, 2013 at East Sparta Church of God at 2:00 p.m., with Bro. Tim Sersen officiating. Burial will follow at the Turner Roberts Cemetery . Pallbearers, Jacob Roberts, Caleb Roberts, Jeffery Roberts, Jonathan Roberts, Daniel Shockley and Hugh "Hootie" Turner.
