Mrs. Betty Carol Mayfield Brown Roberts, age 71 , went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2011. Mrs. Roberts taught school for 42 years in elementary education.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by children, Gregory Eugene Brown and Lisa Carol and husband Lloyd Parks all of Sparta; step children, Gary and wife Lisa Roberts, Nelouise and husband Larry Geer, Jerry and wife Beth Roberts and Jason and wife Melanie Roberts all of Sparta; brother James Winston and wife Emily Mayfield of Huntington, WVA; grandchildren, Rachel Clarice Parks, Leah Dawn Parks and Molly Katelin Brown; step grandchildren, Tania Whittenburg, Terri Robinson, Trevor Elrod, Hannah Roberts, Dylan Roberts, Jonah Roberts, Riley Roberts, and Elijah Roberts.
Preceded in death by parents, James Oscar Mayfield and Iva Brock Mayfield Broom; and husband Vivian Allison Roberts.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.a�"9:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Thurman Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. Jack Farley and Bro. Jimmy Lindsey.
Pallbearers a�" Ronnie Brock, Donnie Brock, Jim Flatt, Bobby Humphrey, Danny Brock, Bobby Price, Danny Price and Dylan Roberts. Interment will follow at Old Bon Air Cemetery.
