Mr. Arnold Edward Miller, Sr., 73, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Mr. Miller was born to August Miller and Agnus Miller on April 27, 1937 in Peru, Indiana.
Survivors include his wife, Frances E. Miller of Baxter, TN; two sons, Arnold Miller, Jr. of Baxter; and Dewayne Miller, of Phillips, Wisconsin; two daughters, Elaine Richardson of Peru, Indiana; and Melinda Lewis and husband, Jason of Sparta, TN. He is also survived by three brothers, Henry Miller of Anderson, Indiana; Steve Miller of Lessern, Indiana; and August Miller of Phillips, Wisconsin, as well as two sisters, Madonna Vespo of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Margaret Schuhler of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Surviving grandchildren include Virginia Miller, Elijah Miller, Austin Miller, Teresa Richardson, Josh Richardson, Emily Lewis, Joseph Lewis, Timothy Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Morgan Miller, and Bailey Miller; as well as two great-grandchildren Paige and Triston Williamson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Jeffrey and Louise; brothers, Sylvester and Clarence Miller; and sisters, Agnus Miller, Minnie Hoover, and Rosemary Kiffowit.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Peeled Chestnut United Methodist Church at 1:00 pm Officiating will be Bro. Jason Lewis and Dr. Joe Wyles. Interment will follow in the Peeled Chestnut Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Friday, May 21, 2010 at Thurman Funeral Home from 5:00 pm till 9:00 pm. Thurman Funeral Home, LLC of Sparta, TN is in charge of the arrangements.
