Mr. Arnel Lee Walker, age 76, of Smithville, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Walker was born November 4, 1934 to William Walker and Bessie Bumbalough Walker in Sparta, Tennessee.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years Nelda Walker of Smithville; sons, Forrest Walker and wife, Diane of Murfreesboro; Christopher Walker and wife, Glenda of Smyrna; and Conrad Walker of Smithville; mother, Bessie Bumbalough of Sparta; brother, Prentice Walker of Smyrna; sisters, Billie Jean Clouse and husband, Richard of Sparta; Judy Beach of Smyrna; and Sue Hassell and husband, Jay of LaVergne; grandchildren, Christy Woolbright, Kayla Walker, Jennifer Walker and Brandon Walker; great-grandchildren, Caylee Woolbright and Elijah Walker. A host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, brothers, Clayton Jones and James Keith Walker.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Thurman Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. Officiating will be Bro. Jerry Pullum. Interment will follow in the Big Springs Cemetery.
