Arland F. (Buddy) Kidd 83 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family Tuesday Aug.25 2020

Bud was the owner and operater at Cookeville Transmission from it's opening on March 13 1969 until his retirement on Jan. 1 1999. He loved to be on Center Hill lake fishing, hunting and enjoying life. Upon retirement, Bud moved to Kissimmee Fl. and continued to enjoying fishing on Lake ToHo. Bud lived life to the fullest. He was truly the "Jack of all trades". From repairing vehicles to building his own houseboat. If he set his mind to do something, he would make it work. He loved playing his guitar and singing slightly off key as loud as he could. His most amazing talent was to make people laugh.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents Roy Lee and Lillie Kidd. A sister, Dorothy Ellis. Grandson, Caleb Kidd.

He is survived by his "boys" Randy (Sharon) Kidd, Rick (Teresa) Kidd, Kenneth (Little Bud) Katherine Kidd all of Sparta and Roger Kidd of Nashvillle along with his life partner Carol Boyce of Sparta. Granddaughters Alexis (Perry) Clayton of Camp Pendelton Calif. Kathleen (Noah) Kimmell of Hixson Tn. and Ashley Kidd of Cookeville Grandsons Brady (Monica) Andrews of Cookeville, Roger Kidd and William Kidd (Kelly) of Manhatton, Kansas. Along with 5 great grandchildren. Sisters Joyce Pyburn of Cookeville and Jennie Slayden of Las Vegas. Brother Roland Kidd of Louisiana. Numerous nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS:

There will be a private family service at a later date. Donations can be made at Curefest.com.
