Addean Smith

Addeane Howell Smith, age 89, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Life Care Center in Sparta.

She was born September 8, 1929 in Sparta, Tennessee to Vermal Cope Howell and Jennie Mae Kinnaird Howell.

She enjoyed her nursing career at White County Hospital, Public Health and NHC nursing home.

Addeane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arvil Dillon Smith; and father in law and mother in law, L.C. (Lemon) Smith and Maude Elrod Smith.

She is survived by her six children, Charlotte Holman, Shelley Dodson, Royce and Donna Smith, Rebecca Adcock, Jane and Donnie Strickland and Ron and Holly Smith; grandchildren, Valarie, Rob, Heather, Jason, Jonathan, Jimmy,Rachel, Josh, David, Jay, and Elijah; a host of great grandchildren. She is survived by many close family and friends.

Arrangements:

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Pistole Baptist Church in Sparta, TN from 12:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m.

The service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at 4:00 pm at Pistole Baptist Church in Sparta, TN and officiating will be Bro. Clint Walker and grandson Jonathan Smith. Interment will follow in the Elrod Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be by family.

In lieu of flowers family request donation be made to Elrod Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 551, Sparta, TN 38583.
